The day began with the kind of rain that made you wonder if the skies would ever clear. It was dark, and the rain came down in torrents—none of us could imagine the sunshine making an appearance. With Amy’s wedding set for 1 o’clock at her local church, and her preparations and party happening at the stunning Wethele Manor in Warwickshire, we were all hoping for a change in the weather. By 10 o’clock, the clouds began to part, and the first rays of sunlight peeked through. By 11:30, the sky was beautifully clear, and the sun shone down, turning the day into something truly magical.
A Joyful Atmosphere in the Bridal Suite
Inside the bridal suite, the atmosphere was pure joy and calm. Amy, her five bridesmaids, and her mother shared a relaxing and heartwarming morning together. Two of the bridesmaids were glowing with their pregnancies, while Amy and another bridesmaid tended to their little ones, nursing them in between all the excitement. Watching them interact, caring for each other and their babies, was such a beautiful sight—it felt like a gathering of close sisters, not just friends.
Adding to the joy, one of the bridesmaids was celebrating her birthday that day. The others had arranged a sweet little surprise—a cake and some balloons—which brought even more laughter and smiles. The energy in the room was so full of warmth and love, it felt like a true celebration of friendship and womanhood.

Bridal Makeup and Hair for Amy and Her Bridesmaids
When it came time for the makeup, I was excited to create something special for each of them. The bridesmaids hadn’t planned their looks in advance, so I asked about their dress color—an elegant copper/terracotta tone. I crafted soft, matte copper eyes to complement their gowns, paired with a warm peachy blush. For their lips, we used MAC’s “Spill the Tea,” a shade that tied the whole look together, creating a soft, natural glow.
For Amy, we went with a more glamorous look. Her eyes were slightly smoky and shimmery, giving her that extra touch of elegance for her big day. I used a warm peachy blush to highlight her already glowing skin and finished her look with MAC’s “Peach Blossom” lipstick, which added the perfect soft, romantic touch. All the makeup was done using airbrush techniques to ensure a flawless, long-lasting finish for the entire day.
It was an absolute pleasure to style Amy’s hair as well. We went for soft, natural-looking waves that framed her face beautifully, complementing her entire look. As for the bridesmaids, the incredibly talented Victoria Jones styled their hair, creating stunning looks that suited each one perfectly.
A Heartwarming Celebration: Capturing Amy’s Wedding Day at Wethele Manor
To top it all off, the day was beautifully captured by photographer Duncan Cox. Having worked with Duncan and Victoria many times before, the sense of familiarity made everything even more relaxed and enjoyable. We were like a well-oiled team, focused on making sure Amy and her party felt pampered, comfortable, and at ease.
As the morning unfolded and the sun shone brighter, the laughter and joy continued to fill the room. What started as a rainy, uncertain day turned into a beautiful celebration of love, friendship, and motherhood. Amy’s wedding preparations at Wethele Manor were filled with heartwarming moments, and I feel so lucky to have been part of such a special day.
